Street Department

The Street Department maintains city streets, alleys and right-of-way, handles snow removal and paving, and runs weekly residential trash pickup. Superintendent Donnie Lee, Jr. also serves as the city’s ADA Coordinator.

Trash pickup

Trash is picked up on Mondays and Tuesdays. Please have your trash at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on your pickup day. Holiday schedule changes are posted on this page and on the city’s News & Events page.

Recyclables are not collected at the curb. Take cardboard, paper, aluminum cans and #1 and #2 plastics to the Recycle Center next to the fire station.

Street paving

The city paves streets each year as funding allows. The most recent paving list is posted under News & Events. To report a pothole, a downed sign or a drainage problem, call the Street Department at 812-735-2501.
